NOT AFRAID TO FAIL

I was born in Acarigua, a rural town in Venezuela. My family and I moved to the USA when I was about 9 years old – I value immensely our freedom and the vast opportunities this country provides. As a kid, and still till this day, I was enthralled by space exploration and technology. I studied Aerospace Engineering and excelled academically, but quickly began to notice that I was really good at getting things done. I began to wear different hats at the companies I worked for and found myself to be the glue of multidisciplinary teams. At every company I have worked for I have made ideas turn into reality. My entrepreneurial spirit has allowed me to launch a few things of my own too, and although I have failed a lot, I have acquired a huge amount of knowledge in the process. I am intrigued by the way humans communicate with each other and how technology directly affects our interactions. I have been tinkering with the idea of being the guy that solves the big problems of interplanetary communications; but what is most important to me is that I want to positively impact the lives of millions of people through the use of technology that I help build.

I’m always pushing myself to learn new things. These are some of my accomplishments outside of work.

Pitch Coach and Speaker

I teach a Pitch workshop to entrepreneurs and businesses at conferences. I was the highest rated speaker at the Tech.co Innovate and Celebrate Global Conference.

Neuro-Controlled Bionic Hand

Engineered and programmed a Neuro-Controlled Bionic hand. Represented the state of Florida at the International Science Fair hosted by Intel. Won 1st place Engineering in the State of Florida awaded by the Institute of Electrical Engineers.

Robotics - Team Lead & Programmer

Led team of 6 to building National winning robots for the FIRST Tech Challenge and FRC competitions.

Discovery Education Student Advisory Board

User focused role that facilitated the Discovery Education team to implement learning technologies for thousands of US High Schools and Colleges.

Discover Card Scholarship

Won a $40k scholarship to the University of my choice for academic achievements and overcoming adversity. I was 1 of 10 students selected out of 16,000 applicants.

Hobbies.

I really love everything I do, so sometimes the line between work and hobbies becomes blurred. But aside from that, I like playing basketball, hiking, and filming videos for my YouTube channel for young entrepreneurs. I like taking online courses from time to time. Sometimes I often find myself analyzing products that I use and trying to make them better. For example, I wrote a report for Amazon outlining 2 product bugs (I still have not heard back from them, but if you are interested or know someone at Amazon I’d love to connect with you!)

Education.

I learn something new every day. I read a lot and take online courses. I consider myself a really fast and resourceful learner. Here are some of the institutions I have attended.

Product School | San Francisco, CA

Studied Software Product Management from industry experts. Case studied one of Udemy’s features and created a proposition with high fidelity mockups for Lyft Groups, a feature on the Lyft app that allows users to summon multiple Lyfts from one device.

Draper University | San Mateo, CA

Entrepreneurship program that accelerated my personal growth and opened a world of opportunities.

University of Central Florida | Orlando, FL

Studied Aerospace Engineering for another 2 years. My counselors got mad at the fact that I was taking additional classes non-engineering related.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University | Daytona Beach, FL

Studied Aerospace Engineering for a year. Was considered a junior in terms of credits. Led an imaging satellite proposition. 3.9 GPA.
